2 Timothy 2:8

Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, the offspring of David, as preached in my gospel

Bible Reading for A Year:[bible]Psalm132[/bible];[bible]iiCor5[/bible];[bible]iSamu30-31[/bible]

Watchman Nee was sentenced in 1952 because of his faith to the Christ. As a sequence, he must have spent his rest of life in prison. He died in prison on May 30, 1972. When his nephew came to take some of his belongings, he received a letter which found by the warden on his uncle’s bed. That letter contained about his uncle’s testimony:

“Christ is the son of God who died to redeem human being from sins and then risen on the third day.  That is the greatest truth for all over the earth. I died because of my faith to the Christ – Watchman Nee. “

The tradition noted that the Apostle of Paul had also died as a martyr because of his faith to the Christ. On letter that written just before his death, Paul encouraged his readers, “Remember: Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, the offspring of David, as preached in my gospel, for which I am suffering, bound with chains as a criminal. But the word of God is not bound! (2 Timothy 2:8-9).

We maybe are not called to be a martyr of the testimony of the living Christ – as what His millions of followers had experienced in along this century – however all of us are called to be the witnesses of life for Christ’s works on us. With a grateful heart for God’s grace, we can tell anyone else what Jesus has did for us, whatever its result. – HDF

Let our lives and mouths be the witnesses of Christ
