She said, ‘Please let me glean and gather among the sheaves behind the harvesters.’ She came into the field and has remained here from morning till now, except for a short rest in the shelter.

Working as firemen is unique. According to Dr. Terence Keane, an analyst of behavior, only 5 % of the time they used to put out the fire. The remaining 95% of the time used for waiting. It often makes firefighters are bored, so they suggested that they do something else, but stay alert. Because the people who do not work will find life meaningless. Uninspired. Instead, busy work will improve the vitality of life!

Ruth and her mother in law arrived in Israel by bringing nothing alias destitute. This fact required Ruth to struggle immediately so that both of them could stay alive. Ruth did not like to do nothing or to beg for mercy while waiting. Ruth preferred to work. So she was enable to pick up the rest barley grains scattered.

She elaborated this grunt work from morning till evening. Tiring, but Ruth worked diligently. Ruth worked hard to provide the best, even though the work was not fun and God bless her work.

Perhaps many of you who have the job more comfortable than the biblical figure, Ruth. However, have you already worked hard just like her? Remember, every job that you undergo is a gift from God. So whatever wages you receive, just work in earnest.

A job if it is done diligently and dedicatedly then it is bound to bring great glory to God. JTI.
