Maybe you have experienced this situation as following. In along days, you see many people and they say you these statements: (1) Hei, you come up on time today. It’s very great!” (2) I have eaten the brownies that you gave me last night. It’s delicious than other cakes,” (3) “I only will have told you this secret as I believe that you are trustworthy.” (4) “I think this cloth is too clownish and unfit at your body.” (5) Your house is very cozy. I wish to have my house designed as like yours.”
From those 5 opinions, which one is the most interesting? Although it’s weird, most people will consider the opinion of no (4) so long and deep. The most interesting actually is negative comments; in fact, there are still 4 positive comments which are nicer to hear.
However, if those negative comments come and over, what suppose we do? Is it needed to think about? The Bible tells us what we suppose to think. We should think about something which is magnify, true, holy, sweet, nice to hear, fair, virtue, and praiseworthy. It should fulfill our thoughts.
It does not mean that we can ignore the critics. There are some critics based on love and truth, and that’s good to check our selves. Meanwhile, there are negative comments which are unsuitable to the truth of God’s words. We should ignore it. The point is, we have to ask wisdom form God so that we can be selective to every voice around us.
Everyone has a right to speak out; however we have a right to choose what we hear.
