John 6:32
Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you
not bread from heaven; but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven.

Many people worry and
thus work hard to meet their ends. They even spend most of their time in
working so they can buy clothes, food, and house. But by being so busy in
meeting their physical needs, they forget their spiritual needs.
When we focus too
much on worldly needs, we abandon our need as spiritual human to connect with
God. Jesus says that, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word
that proceeds out of the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4). The Word of God is food
for human’s spirit; without it we would be weak and be easily trapped into
devil’s snare. Therefore, we have to live in God’s Word every day.
In Jesus Christ, the living Word, we completely receive God’s blessing and
everything we need in this life. In Christ, we will find love, joy, peace,
hope, satisfaction, and strength. Through Christ who has been born in this
world, then been tortured, crucified, dead, and resurrected on the third day,
we who suppose to perish, get the grace of eternal life, and even to live in it
more abundantly.
What we have in
Christ Jesus is priceless compared to any biggest wealth in the world. Do not
let this world steal the greatest treasure from our lives. No matter how busy
we are with our activities, set time to feed our spiritual body through praying
and reading His Word.
Are you chasing perishable thing, which will
disappear time after time, or are you chasing the eternal one? Make sure that you are walking on the right path.
