Hebrews
3:4
For every house is built by someone,
but He who built all things is God.
Bible Reading for a Year

A boy was drawing on a paper; he
looked so excited that his mother was curious. “What are you drawing, Son?” she
asked.
“I am drawing God,” the son replied
while he was coloring the picture.
After he was finished, his mother sneaked
a look at the boy’s masterpiece, but what she found made her confused. The boy
drew a man wearing a yellow helmet and carpentry tools on his waist belt. “What
is it?” the woman asked again. “So,” the boy explained, “The bible says that
Jesus is a carpenter. God also creates the universe, and He asks Noah to build
an ark and asks Moses to build a tabernacle. I think God is a builder.”
What the boy thought could be right.
If God worked in this world today, He might be an owner of construction
business. As you see how God is working from age to age, you’ll find that He
always builds something: the universe, an ark, a temple, and even you and I, as
His churches.
Yes, God is building every believer’s
life to be like His only Son’s image. Every day He takes away our old and
broken parts, and through the power of Holy Spirit, God renews us day by day
until we become like Christ.
Today, God is not finished with you
yet; He is still building our lives. So, let us be grateful for the work of His grace.
