Yet in all these
things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

Currently Yohanes was
studying in the best university in Jakarta. Yohanes was one of the outstanding
students. He was taking Indonesian Literature. In daily life, he liked to make
poems. Early next month, he would represent his college to compete in the
Olympics with another university.
It was a difficult
task to Yohanes, because he had to fight for the best university in the
Jakarta. The campus’ name was at stake. Therefore, he wanted to give the best.
Every day he learned and surrendered to God in praying.
He also fasted and
prayed to show his determination in winning the Olympics’ competition. Then the
long-awaited day finally arrived. Yohanes was able to solve all problems.
Nevertheless, Yohanes still relied on God.
When the result was
published, Yohanes’ hope was not in vain. He successfully fought his campus’
name, because his campus became the best university in Jakarta. Yohanes has
proven that Jesus is the only hope that alive.
How about you? Do
you also rely on God? What is the difference between those who take refuge in
the Lord and those who don’t? God never promises that if you follow the Lord you
will be free from trouble. However, God promises that there is always a way out
in Jesus. Outside of God, there is no guarantee for a way out.
Relying
on God is like fully giving rights to the Creator.
