John 15:1-10
“I am
the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does
not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that
it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have
spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of
itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I
am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears
much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he
is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them
into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in
you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My
Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. “As
the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My
commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s
commandments and abide in His love.
Bible Reading for a Year [bible]psalm23[/bible]; [bible]matth23[/bible];
[bible]genes45-46[/bible]
Marina
has a mango tree in her yard. The mango tree has been there since Marina was 8
years old. Now Marina is 28 years old. Therefore, the mango tree has been
living for 20 years. However, since the tree was planted to this day, the mango
tree has never bear a fruit.
Marina
also wonders why their mango tree has never bear fruit. A big question hits
Marina many times. Then they are going to cut down the mango tree. They assume
that any tree that does not bear any fruit should be cut down. Later, Marina
plants a rambutan tree. After waiting for 8 years, the tree eventually bears
fruit.
If you
had to choose, which tree would you choose? Rambutan tree or mango tree? Of
course you want to be like rambutan tree, don’t you? God wants you to always
bear fruit. Believe that the Lord is with you in every season. To be fruitful,
you have to grow. Your spiritual growth can be built every day by reading the
word of God and doing it. Remember, only by being the doers of the word, you
can grow and bear fruit.
Growth is in action, not only
in talk.
