2 Kings 5:2-3

Now the Syrians on one of their raids had carried off a little girl from the land of Israel, and she worked in the service of Naaman's wife. She said to her mistress, “Would that my lord were with the prophet who is in Samaria! He would cure him of his leprosy.”

Bible Reading for A Year:[bible]Psalm6[/bible];[bible]Matth6[/bible];[bible]Genes11-12[/bible]

He is a chief of household in the church. Every Saturday and Sunday, he is in charge of ensuring all electronic equipment and furnishings are kept tidy and functioning properly. Moreover, he also has to set the building hygiene, toilets, and the regularity of the parking lot. When some congregations are less patient as there is no church parking, he would be mocked. No one appreciates his work, although his religious is almost always running smoothly. Regardless of the treatment of the congregation, he remained loyal and patient carrying out his duties.

The Bible also inserts a story about people who are not considered by humans. This is the uniqueness of God that often chose the smaller and the meaningless to carry out His will (see 1 Corinthians 1:27). Behind the healing miracles of God upon Naaman, there is a little girl whose name is unknown giving her contribution. He is merely a custody enslaved by the Syrians, the enemy of her nation. However, her faith and love moved Naaman, the leper, seeking a healing through God's prophet, Elisha. Naaman even later determined to only worship the God of Israel (verse 17).

All people, ranging from the simplest can be used to do the Lord's work. What is required of us is obedience and humility. Our obedience can be a means in the hands of God to fulfill His will. It is not important who gets the award. The important thing is God is known and magnified – HEM.

God never underestimates the smaller and the meaningless, as long as we serve Him with a sincere heart.
