Esther 4:16b

I and my attendants will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.

Bible Reading for A Year:[bible]Psalm37[/bible];[bible]hebre1[/bible];[bible]micah1-2[/bible]

Sometimes we push ourselves to rely on our own strength in life. In fact, all of our efforts and hardwork are never satisfied without favours of God. However, if we ask the intervention of God, our problems must have been solved, no matter how big it is.

Likewise Esther who had to experience the test, since there was a rule at that time that whoever come before God, “who shall go into the inner court to the king without being called shall be put to death.” (Esther 4:11). In fact, she heard the news that, “Haman looked for a way to destroy all Mordecai’s people, the Jews, throughout the whole kingdom of Xerxes.” (Esther 3:6)

That’s why before she came to the king, Esther was looking for God and bowing herself down before God by asking Jews to fast and pray for 3 days and 3 nights. Esther asked God to interfere with and help her. However, her effort was not in vain, “... for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you” (Psalm 9:10). God heard her and proclaimed His mercy.

Esther was allowed to come before the king, even the king offered her a half of his kingdom, but she refused it as she only wanted her nation saved! And it is proven, the Jews were saved. This is one of miracles that when every time we ask God to interfere with, then His favours will always come to help.
