2134Ecclesiastes 7:2
It is better to go to the house of mourning than to go to the house of feasting, for this is the end of all mankind, and the living will lay it to heart.

Funeral home is basically identical to the gloom and tears. However, many funeral homes are decorated with contemporary modern concept, beautiful, and like a hotel room. Although they are comfortable, those houses do not make people prefer to go there, or even make them to stay any longer! Humans are reluctant to deal with death and grief.
However, Ecclesiastes said that, it is better to grieve and mourn at funeral home, instead of laughing at the house party. Why? Because death taught much more than merry-making. Through death, we realize that life is short, that we have to take our lives seriously. Sense of loss due to being left also teaches us to rely on God.
We are getting to know about God and faith precisely in difficult times, not while having fun. When God puts you in the "house of mourning", shall you run into a "house party"? Do not avoid misfortune and suffering that God allows to you. That apparently would be a golden opportunity to learn something from God.
By combining jokes and tears, God makes our lives rich.
