Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord

A priest shared about his experiences in World War II. In a bloody battle, a young man was seriously injured and his life has already hung on a thread. By fear, that young man stared at the priest and asked, "Sir, am I going to live?"

The priest knew that the young man was not likely to survive, but he did not know what to say. So he said to the young soldier, "Son, do you believe in Jesus Christ?"

The young man replied, "Yes, sir. The greatest day of my life is when I became a Christian."

The priest looked at him and said, "Then you will live, son."

Likewise the young man, each of us will one day face the death. But when we make Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior, then death is no longer something which is terrifying because we lead to an eternal life and full of glory. Otherwise, there is eternal torment after death without Jesus.

If you've survived, that will absolutely be a great joy to return to the Father's house. However, whether this day, have your family, friends, and neighbors been listening to this good news? Yes, they need Jesus; our part is to preach the good news to them.

We never know when the end of someone's life is, preach the gospel of Christ in every opportunity, as you may have saved someone's life at that day.
