So as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God

In John 15:1-8 the Lord Jesus declares that every branch should rely on the vine. In order to bear fruit, branch should abide and be gathered with the vine as, “If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.” (John 15:6)
The presence of believer is about to be a branch in the true vine. In order to bear fruit, branch should abide in Christ and endure in obedience. Not only remain to live in Christ, but we should bear fruit, goodness in our lives and the glory in His name and also bring souls to Christ.
Someone who does not endure in faith and disobedient equals to those who get out of the vine and it is just a matter of time to be cut off and thrown away. So, life of Christianity is about life which keep growing and bearing fruit. That growth will give the impact if we really put our old lives off.
A life which bears fruit is about a life which glorify the name of Lord and He is longing our fruits keep growing and stable. When we have already borne fruit, whatever we wish to God, it will be done for us as long as it is suitable to His will and not to satisfy our flesh. When our fruits are getting bushy, then we are getting strong in God.
