Bible Reading for A Year:[bible]Psalm41[/bible];[bible]itimo5[/bible];[bible]Isaia35-36[/bible]

If you want to become a better person, you need to know how to handle the critics – those who are talking about you, judging you, slandering and gossiping you.

In earlier times, when the enemy attacked a town, they would go around the fortified city and throw the stones while crossing the wall and directing them as possible to the wells in the city. When the wells were clogged, that would force people in the city came out and they were easily defeated.

Do you know there are similarities behind that story above with our lives? Critics which are often given by people like rocks which will boast the well of life in our hearts. In the end, our hearts that formerly should be drained of joy, peace, and victory being clogged and replaced by anger, upset and hatred. That's when we are easily defeated by the evil.

So today we learn, rather than busy listening to criticism, gossip and judgment of the people, let's point our hearts and ears to what God is saying. Thus we keep our well of lives in our hearts keep clean, and continue to drain all the good things that will sustain us into a better person.

If critics attack you, do not try to defend yourself. Get out and leave it to God, allow the Heavenly Father to be your defender
