Ephesians 4:32
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you

Forgiving sincerely and constantly should be our natural disposition after understanding the forgiveness that God has given to us. People who have been forgiven are supposed to forgive others.
In the Lord's Prayer, Jesus tells us to pray: "And forgive us our faults, as we also forgive those who wronged us" (Matthew 6:12). Jesus as if was saying, "As you receive God's forgiveness for the mistakes you do, tell the same forgiveness to others who wronged you."
For Jesus, forgiveness is important. We often hope that everything is perfect. We want a perfect husband, perfect wife, unblemished church, friends without fault, the kids who never naughty, etc. But we never get that perfection, because these people are just like us. They have flaws. We all have flaws. We should realize that we are guilty and other people also have errors. We should forgive them, as we have been forgiven. The Apostle Paul wrote, "But be ye friendly to one another, tenderhearted, and forgiving each other, just as God in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:32).
A man never met the preacher John Wesley and said, "I can never forgive and forget." Wesley replied the man, "Is that so? I hope you never make a mistake. "
CAN YOU IMAGINE IF GOD SAID, "I CAN NEVER FORGIVE AND FORGET YOU"? SINCE HE IS WILLING TO FORGIVE AND FORGET, THEN WE SHOULD DO AS WHAT HE DOES.
