Proverbs 19:22

The ornament of a man is his mercy, and a poor man is better than one who is false

Bible Reading for A Year:[bible]0Luke3-5[/bible];[bible]Colos2-3[/bible];[bible]Matth6-9[/bible]

One day, I heard from someone else that one of my best friends told other people about some bad things of my husband. Something that does not need to share. When I heard about it, I was really hurt. I do not know why she had to do that. I was crying. I got disappointed as I have considered her and her husband as my family. I never told anyone about her husband, yet I know many things about hers. However, why she should do that to me? She has been so nice when she was around me, but it did not happen when she was back at me. I feel that she has seduced my faithfulness of friendship as what is written in Psalms 55:13-15, “But it was you, my equal, my guide, my well-loved friend. We took sweet counsel together; we walked in the house of God with the throng. Let the hand of death come on them suddenly, and let them go down living into the underworld; because evil is in their houses and in their hearts.”

Faithfulness and honesty is the strongest pillar that is needed to build up a friendship. Faithfulness is not about leaving or betraying our best friend, moreover when she/he has been struggling in a difficult situation. Therefore, do not ever build up a friendship upon the base of profit and loss. When our friend can give us profits, then we will be loyal to her/him. In contrary, when she/he is in difficult situation, we will leave him/her. Yet others with honesty, it is about telling the truth about our best friend to others and to her/him also. Telling the truth, do not tell in contrary. Build the faithfulness and honesty in everything because God wants us to make it happen.

Being honest to someone is the best effort that could be done by human being. Sigmund Freud
