Romans 7:19
For the good which I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I practise

We know what is good or not. We know that we should not do the bad thing/evil, but in reality, we often do those things. Lying easily, sometimes we like cursing, getting angry unreasonably, stealing time or whatever; even we may commit adultery or exalt money instead of God. Whatever it is, we know those things are bad, but we still do that.
Paul clearly wrote that he did the same thing. He had also ever done bad things. However in fact he knew it should not be done, but he still constantly did those things. Actually that's an image of our flesh which has been sold under sin.
Therefore we must realize that although our flesh is weak, we are still strengthened by Jesus. We need Him more so that we do not do something we will regret then. Regrets may come, but we have to bounce back its feeling because we believe that God will enable us when we are trying. One more thing, even though we know our flesh is weak, but it does not mean it would be a justification for us to keep doing mistakes.
We must to keep changing. “Being changed through your renewing mind,” Paul said. Being changed like your Creator. How? Surely by drawing close to Him, whether it is through a prayer, the moments with Him, or even through His Word. Getting away your regret, changing your bad behavior so that you are more like Him, keep trying even you failed, and being surrender on God The Almighty Fearfully, then our lives are also being changed.
