How to Defeat the Works of the Flesh?

Roma 8:9

However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.

 

Bible Reading for a year:

Words of the Apostle Paul to the Galatians in chapter five verses nineteen to twenty one  is explaining to everyone that the works of the flesh which are manifest, including immorality, impurity, lust, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, anger , self-interest, harming, breaking spirit, envy, drunkenness, orgies, etc.

And for all those things, Paul warned them (including us) that whoever do such things, he will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Do you know what the Apostle Paul wrote as opposed to the works of the flesh that would make someone get the kingdom of God? Is the act of charity? Or is adherence to religious laws? I had thought that the Apostle Paul would write that.

But the reality is not so, the Apostle Paul gave a way out of the works of the flesh by living in spirit, so that the fruit of the Holy Spirit will work in a person's soul and bring forth the fruit of the Spirit, such as: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance.

In other words, if we have all fruits of the Spirit then we can certainly reject the works of the flesh. On the other hand, if we do not have or lack of the fruits of Spirit, then get ready for the flesh will take over your life.

And it means that especially, important, urgent and pleasing to God is love, joy, peace and righteousness to the Holy Spirit. The simplest question to all of those is "Have you already received the Spirit of Jesus Christ as your Lord and your God? And have you already filled by the Holy Spirit so that you are able to understand God and to worship God properly?

Remember that flesh and blood cannot be the part of the kingdom of God and that the lost has no part in what cannot destroyed.
