Joshua 1:9

“Have I not given you your orders? Take heart and be strong; have no fear and do not be troubled; for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go”

Bible Reading for a year: Psalm 9; Revelation 15; Nehemiah 10-11

Have you ever been in a condition where you had surely done God’s willing, doing the calling of life that God established in you, however you had failed in the edge of road? What will you do when you believe that you had obeyed God’s voice then found that yourself lost in the desert of debt and doubt?

There is question tickling in my heart that time, “ Why God ask us to do something if it had to lead to the failure finally? What for we must birth something if it doesn’t birth the success finally?

The ancestor of Jesus, The Mesiah had the same thing. Abraham became a father as God had promised him. However the pause between God’s promise and the fulfillness of that promise had spread out for many years made Abraham questioning the validity of God’s vision. As we are, Abraham then tried to re-make God’s promise by the way that he could touch, see and understand.

"Compromise is the answer," said Abraham. "I will sleep with my wife servant because this part of God's plan."

Everything is in God's plan, who walks with God's timing, and involve us as people choice, always produce something extraordinary. But that does not mean we will not stumble and fail while living it. Life in the desert is an important period in which the Lord ordained and prepared us to realize his vision. Testing faith transforms us into servants who deserve to live big dreams with maximum results. Through testing we are required to answer these questions: "Do I trust God enough to live something when I was able to see and understand the end result?" Is not that the same questions that haunt us when facing the last breaths of life?

Sometimes the things that make us fear is falling, failing and losing. We try to achieve a dream and chose to retreat when our hands are not grabbing nothing but emptiness. The same condition is also facing the church today. Too many Christians are afraid to fail. But God seldom eliminate our fears. Instead God asks us to be strong and choose to brave.

Resolve to be brave, take action and claim the promises of God that have been implanted in His heart. Hold the hand of the Lord and proclaim your dreams. Lean upon Him and look at Him through the desert. God can change your life. God created you to know Him and experience changes in your life.

Experiencing failure in obedience is not an unsolved mystery. It was a test for a change, shaping and preparing you for a bigger dream.
