Psalm 32:1
How blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered!
Bible reading for a year: Psalm 4, Revelation 10, Ezra 7-8
In the eighteenth century, precisely in England, there was a young man who joined in national army. One day, for he could not stand any longer to the sound of the bullet, he then ran away from his army.
Years later, this young man has apparently become a great astronomer, even he succeeded to find a planet. King George then asked him to come. He finally came but he was quite afraid if the king executed him because he had resigned from the army illegally. However, he was given an envelope which contained the kingdom’s forgiveness and even the invitation to stay at the kingdom’s zone.
That lucky name was Sir William Herschel. Herschel felt guilty and he deserved to be executed. But the King George was generous to him and even the king raised him as the member of kingdom household.
This is what God had promised to us. We are guilty and powerless. However God loves us and He had saved us, not because of the goodness that we had done, but because of His grace (Titus 3:5). Do not forget, “God sent His son into the world not to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved (John 3:17).
By Lord Jesus, our sins had been forgiven and our life had been saved from death. Therefore, be thankful always to Him for every blessing that we get!
