words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. (NIV)

What is the secret for an
answered prayer? Many people are wondering why God has not answered their
prayers yet. As long as we live in this world, it is not easy to live according
to the truth. It’s only by the help of the Holy Spirit that you can carry on.
Why did God answer Hezekiah’s
prayer? God added fifteen years to his days. What did Hezekiah do? Hezekiah set
forth his case. He poured out his heart.
Then Hezekiah turned his face
toward the wall, and prayed to the LORD, and said, "Remember now, O LORD,
I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have
done what is good in Your sight." And Hezekiah wept bitterly. (Isaiah
38:2-3)
Hezekiah was a faithful servant
of God. This is related to what the Scripture says, that if you remain in His
Words. Why does God make this condition? Surely, God wants to see your
eagerness for the Lord. In fact, there are a lot of prayers contain a selfish
motive. The only motive of your prayer should be His glory.
Maybe your prayer is unanswered
yet. Try to meditate on His Words and do them. Show your eagerness for the
Lord. If you have lived according to His Words and not received the answer yet,
trust Him for He knows the perfect time for it. He is God who created you, and
He always gives the best for you.
Wait
and be patient. You will receive the answer of your prayer at the right time.
Keep the faith.
