Genesis
12:1-2
Now the LORD had said to Abram:
"Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house,
To a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless
you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing.

Comfortable and safe condition,
that is what everyone desires. However, what is the impact of the comfort zone
for human life? Remember when God told Abram to go into the land which the Lord
showed Him? Why would Abram? Yet we know that Abram is son of Terah, a rich
man.
This is a decision that makes
God blessed Abram. When he took the decision to get out of comfortable and safe
zone, he did not hesitate. Abram was a pagan at that time, but when God spoke
to him, Abram still believed. God wants to bless Abraham not from the wealth of
their parents. This is evidence that God's plan for Abram is very awesome.
Isaiah
45:3
I
will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden riches of secret places,
That you may know that I, the LORD, Who call you by your name, Am the God of
Israel.
Comfort zone sometimes makes
you do not dare to take decisions that will jeopardize your position. Comfort
zone can make you lose your faith. Why? Because when you are comfortable and
safe, you will feel no need of God and do not have the faith to do great
things. You will feel satisfied with what you can do.
You may dare to get out from
your comfort zone now. Praying and listening to God’s voice is an initial step
for getting out of the comfort zone. Do not ever take a step without God. If
God asks you to take a step, do not ever hesitate. Look what Abram has done in
his obedience and the reward he received. Abram became the father of all
nations.
To get out of the comfort zone,
all you need is faith. Look at Abram, he had a son in his old age, even though
it’s impossible. God gave him a son for he had faith. And Abram was also known
as the father of believers.
See and experience it also,
when you get out of the comfort zone and obey the Lord, you’ll receive great
rewards. You will be amazed by what He will do.
Isaiah
60:5
Then
you shall see and become radiant, And your heart shall swell with joy; Because
the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, The wealth of the Gentiles
shall come to you.
When
you walk, walk with faith and do not be dismayed for great things awaiting you
ahead.
