The Parenting Project
Children are a gift from God, and becoming a parent is a journey filled with challenges. There are many shortcomings and frequent stumbles into mistakes, which consciously or unconsciously leave wounds on children. Through The Parenting Project, CBN Indonesia is present to help every parent become better for their children. In Batam City, this discipleship has brought transformation to many parents, one of whom is Mrs. Eslida (36 years old).
Before joining the program, she often ignored her daughter when she was busy with her phone. She would also start to scold impatiently when her daughter began asking questions. But everything changed after she participated in The Parenting Project in October 2024.
The lessons from the modules 'Being a Good Role Model' and 'Children's Emotional Tanks' became part of the material that taught her the importance of parents being good examples and understanding their children's emotional needs. 'I admit that I've made a lot of mistakes as a parent. I'm so grateful for these sessions,' she said.
Because of these lessons, she and her husband are committed to becoming better parents — more patient and present to always provide the support their child needs. Mrs. Eslida is incredibly thankful to have encountered The Parenting Project at just the right time. 'I believe this is God's way of shaping me into a better parent because God has a great plan for my child.'
What Has The Parenting Project Accomplished?
In February 2025, CBN continued to socialize The Parenting Project program to local churches in Indonesia. Through its 11 teaching modules, we hope more churches will independently equip parents.
To date, nearly 6000 parents from around 1600 churches have participated in this discipleship program. This year, we are committed to reaching even more churches and experiencing the extraordinary transformation that many families have experienced, one of which we share with you through the following video.
