Little Prilli's Faith and Prayer That Changed Her Family
Superbook
Until the end of 2024, CBN together with over 4,500 Superbook partner churches continue to strive to disciple children in 9 regions of Indonesia. Praise God! Through Superbook, God's love transforms every child, including Prilli, a 6-year-old from Denpasar, Bali.
Prilli was born into a family that never gave religious teachings. Her parents never worshipped, and her father had a problem with alcohol, which led to a stressful home life. However, God's love reached out to her family in an unexpected way when Prilli joined Superbook Sunday school.
Once, while watching Superbook's ‘Greatest Love’ episode on the crucifixion of Jesus, her heart was deeply touched. With tears in her eyes, she said, 'When I watched the story of Jesus being crucified, I felt sad. He wants to love us and forgive our sins.'

She realised how much God loves her life and everyone, including her father. So she wanted to pray sincerely asking God to change her father's heart. ‘So I pray that he won't drink anymore and that he can come with me to church and listen to the words of Jesus.’
Not only praying, but Prilli had the courage of faith to rebuke her father with love. ‘I said ‘you can't drink anymore. If you get sick, no one will take care of you,‘’ she said.
Unexpectedly, a simple prayer and the courage of a child's faith had a tremendous impact! God answered her prayer and her father finally stopped drinking. God's great work also happened to the whole family who have now started going to church and going through the process of knowing God.
Prilli is proof that every child who is equipped with the truth of God's word can be an instrument to bring about great change.
