3 Years of Partnering with Super5, ECE GBI Agape Pekalongan Witnesses Significant Child Development
Super5
Teaching the children is a great responsibility carried by Mrs. Margaretha and all the teachers at Early Childhood Education (ECE) GBI Agape Pekalongan. Since its establishment in 2019, they have dreamed of seeing children develop maximally in cognitive, motor, sensory, and spiritual aspects. However, it was difficult for them to find teaching materials supported by Christian values, so they had to create their own.
Mrs. Margaretha, the principal and teacher at ECE GBI Agape Pekalongan, is grateful for the Super5 curriculum. In 2022, this school began using the Super5 curriculum, which is based on Christian values and aligns with the national curriculum. The regular training provided by the Super5 team has also played a significant role in improving teachers' abilities to use the Learning Management System (LMS) and develop creative, high-quality teaching skills, including expanding their knowledge on handling children with special needs.
'The teachers here had no prior experience or knowledge about handling children with special needs,' says Mrs. Margaretha. 'We are learning from the Super5 training. Super5 also has experts in this area.'
Now, ECE GBI Agape Pekalongan educates 40 students (Playground, Kindergarten A and B), with 3 of them are children with special needs. She has witnessed significant development in each child. Through the video materials, reflections, and playgroup activities provided in the Super5 curriculum, children have developed holistically in cognitive, sensory, motoric, and spiritual aspects.
Mrs. Margaretha is grateful and hopeful that the collaboration with Super5 will continue to have a major impact on the children at their PAUD. 'We've been with Super5 for 3 years. Our PAUD has become more quality in terms of learning. Thank you to CBN for facilitating us with the Super5 curriculum. I hope the curriculum will continue to be updated so that it can impact every PAUD.'
