Local Churches Begin Actively Discipling Parents Through The Parenting Project
The Parenting Project
Church leaders and parents have enthusiastically welcomed The Parenting Project roadshow, which has been held in various cities from August to November 2024. For churches, The Parenting Project is the guide they need to train their congregants to become better parents for their children.
As of November, thousands of parents in over 1,400 churches have joined The Parenting Project discipleship groups. Thanks to our amazing CBN partners, we are witnessing God work in miraculous ways to strengthen families and build stronger church communities.
The Impact: Mrs. Meriati and Daughter's Relationship Restored After Joining the Parenting Project
Praise God! The Parenting Project has transformed the lives of many parents, including Mrs. Meriati from Pekanbaru. Initially, disharmony with her husband led her to frequently vent her anger on her children, particularly Lestari, her eldest daughter, who often endured physical and emotional abuse.
The presence of The Parenting Project at GSPDI Kasih Karunia Petapahan Pekanbaru church marked a turning point. After watching the first module, 'Being a Role Model,' Mrs. Meriati realized the devastating impact of her behavior. In a group discussion session, she sincerely apologized to Lestari, witnessed by the church leader and congregation. This tearful moment marked the beginning of the restoration of her relationship with her children.
Now, Mrs. Meriati continues to learn to control her emotions, show affection, and build better communication with her children. The Parenting Project has become an invaluable guide in her new role as a better parent, healing her children's wounds and strengthening the foundation of their family.
