Shalom!
This month I want to share a message that speaks to my heart for CBN partners. During my trip to Korea last month, God reminded me of Jesus' prayer for his disciples.
Jesus prayed, 'I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.' (John 17:22-23). The unity of Jesus and the Father has brought salvation and answers to the world! Therefore, He invites His disciples to unite, for the spirit of unity brings blessings.
What makes us united? The glory that the Father gave to Jesus, and that glory is given to us! While I was in Korea, God gave me the understanding that 'the crown of glory of Jesus is suffering'. Suffering led Jesus to die on the cross and become the Savior of the world. This means we can unite when we are willing to suffer: to let go of ego, to be humble, patient, sacrificial, gentle and to serve one another. This sets us apart from a self-centered world. As a result, the world wonders and asks, 'How can there still be people who support each other, struggle and celebrate together?'
CBN partners, God invites you and me to live in unity in every aspect of our lives. When there is unity in your marriage, God's blessings flow automatically. When you are willing to let go of your ego, to sacrifice, to struggle and to help your co-workers or partners, God blesses your work. Likewise, if there is unity in pursuing God's vision through the ministry you are involved in, God will guide you to the finish line.
Let's strive for this unity every day!
