The Parenting Project Road Show is Coming to Nias and Medan!

The Parenting Project

The Parenting Project Road Show is coming to Nias and Medan from September 17-20, 2024! Hundreds of churches from various denominations enthusiastically welcomed the launching event of the parenting discipleship series. This event is made even more special by the presence of CBN Indonesia Foundation Chairman, Mark McClendon, and CBN Indonesia Managing Director, Nely Hergendi.

Before the church leaders and local officials in attendance, we introduced The Parenting Project and shared CBN's commitment to equipping churches in fulfilling the Great Commission through discipleship of children and parents. Praise God! Through the sharing, the church leaders were highly enthusiastic to implement this parenting discipleship series, seeing it as an answer for parents to become better fathers and mothers for their children.

Head of Idanogawo Sub-District, Nias, Triwati Gulo S.H., M.Si., who attended the launch of The Parenting Project, expressed her enthusiasm to implement The Parenting Project immediately. “For me, The Parenting Project is extremely important because parents are the ones closest to their children. Especially in this digital era, children need their parents. So, parents must be the first to improve themselves.”

The same enthusiasm was also expressed by the Pastor of BNKP Bawolato Church, Rev. Ameni Ndraha. She stated that The Parenting Project is highly beneficial for helping parents become better for their children. 'The Parenting Project has captured our church's attention because it greatly assists parents in the church to understand their true role toward their children and how to be good parents to them,' she said.

Parental Transformation Through The Parenting Project

One of the testimonies from The Parenting Project comes from Mr. Suratno (42 years old), who has participated in this parenting teaching group at the Voice of the Gospel of Truth Church (GSKI) Nafiri Pujian in Tulang Bawang, Lampung. As a father who works far from his family, he has lost much time with his three children. When he comes home, he only greets his children briefly. As a result, his eldest child has fallen into excessive gaming addiction and has become a bully in an online gang.

However, after participating in Module 2 titled 'Building Closeness' from The Parenting Project, Mr. Suratno realized the importance of spending time with his children. Praise God! Now, he has started giving attention to his children, building communication, and becoming a father who loves to praise.

This is one of the many stories we have received. We believe there will be thousands of stories of parents experiencing transformation through The Parenting Project, and they will become better parents for their children.

If you long to be one of them, you can share the following video with the family department leaders at your church and invite your church to join The Parenting Project.
