Almost Quit Teaching, Attending Super5 Training Revitalized This Early Childhood Teacher’s Passion
Super5
As of August 2024, over 400 early childhood centers across various regions in Indonesia continue to receive training from CBN to disciple children aged 3-6 years. We are so proud that through the Merdeka learning system we provide, every early childhood center we mentor is able to deliver high-quality, Christian-based education to each child.
This training improves the teaching competence of the staff and early childhood teachers. Mr. Roberd Buuloo (25), one of the Super5 Benih Kasih teachers in Nias Islands, has experienced the benefits of this training.
With no teaching experience, Roberd joined Early Childhood Centers Super5 Benih Kasih in 2023. Initially, this theology graduate was overwhelmed by the challenges of teaching children and even considered quitting. However, after attending Super5 training, Roberd gained new insights into the world of children and the fundamentals of effective teaching.
“I understand that children aged 3-6 years are in a phase where they love to explore things. So, teachers must help them navigate this phase well.”
Now, Roberd is always enthusiastic whenever he teaches in class. It brings him joy to witness each of his students grow into better individuals. “When one of their friends is feeling sad, without us prompting, the children will immediately hug their friend. They learn this because we teach it at school.”
