Transforming the Future of Children in the BNKP Community of Hiligeo Mazingo Congregation
Holistic Disciple Making Ecosystem
Deep in the villages of the Nias Islands, there is the BNKP Jemaat Hiligeo Mazingo community, which faithfully serves hundreds of adult and child congregants. Since 2018, this community has opened its doors to focus on serving children through Superbook Sunday School curriculum, which has now made a tangible impact on the children's spiritual growth.
Discipleship in this community has continued to grow since BNKP Jemaat Hiligeo Mazingo again collaborated with CBN to disciple children aged 3-14 years through the School of Life Learning Center and ECCE Super5 programs. Through these programs, each child can experience holistic transformation — spiritual, academic and character.
As of July 2024, the BNKP Hiligeo Mazingo community has been regularly serving:
- 38 ECCE Super5 children
- 160 Superbook Sunday School children
- 50 School of Life Learning Center children
With your help, we continue to support this community in various ways, including:
- Providing PAUD Super5, School of Life, and Superbook curricula
- Offering regular teacher training
- Distributing operational funds for Sanggar Belajar and stipends for PAUD Super5 teachers
- Providing humanitarian aid such as clean water and additional nutrition for PAUD children
Praise God! We have witnessed the transformation of every child in this community. They are becoming more enthusiastic and experience significant character and spiritual growth. The humanitarian programs initiated have also helped the children and their families achieve a better quality of life.
Impact of Child Transformation
Ablian, a 10-year-old child from Umbubalodano Village, is one of the students at the School of Life Learning Center Hiligeo Mazingo. Before joining, Ablian lacked confidence and often refused when asked to lead songs or prayers in class. However, after six months of guidance from the School of Life tutors, her confidence began to grow.
Now, Ablian happily leads songs and prayers. Her enthusiasm for self-improvement brings joy to her parents, who are very grateful for the presence of the School of Life. It not only cares for Ablian but also assists their limited family through the initiative of building a water storage facility at their home. Now, Ablian and her family find daily life much easier.
