Shalom and peace be with you, CBN partners!
This year, CBN celebrates its 25th anniversary, and we are working harder than ever to fulfill the Great Commission, hand in hand with local churches as our main partners in this great ministry.
Did you know, CBN Partners, that comfort can kill us? When we are enjoying comfort, we are easily lulled into a state of complacency. The status quo makes us lose our passion for sacrificing to achieve God's purpose in our lives. We become God's people who want to be served, not serve. We go to church only when we feel like it, listen to praise songs only when we feel like it, and choose Bible verses that match our mood. Comfort makes us reject the confrontation of the truth of God's Word and dislike being challenged to live in righteousness.
In the end, we become vulnerable. King David fell into sin when he was relaxing in the palace while the Israelite soldiers were at war (1 Samuel 11). Jesus wants us to remember His message: 'Whoever wants to follow Me must deny himself, take up his cross and follow Me.' (Matthew 16:24). Jesus Himself embraced discomfort and was centered on the Father's will. He prayed, fasted, and worked 'while it is day,' because he said, '...the night is coming when no one can work.'
This year, CBN wants to work harder hand in hand with local churches to disciple children and parents with a 'radical' and zealous attitude in these end times.
CBN Partners, there is God's work that each of us must do! Let us work while it is still day, fulfilling the Great Commission in this Indonesia we love.
