Laura's Journey: Breaking Free from the Chains of the Past and Embracing a Life of Victory

CBN partners, you have become God's hands and feet in blessing Mrs. Laura (39 years-Old). It all started when she found CBN Prayer Center amid her past trauma and life's uncertainties.
After getting married and living with her husband and two children in Lampung, Mrs. Laura still carried the burden of her past as a victim of abuse and human trafficking. Added to this, their financial struggles caused a lot of inner turmoil. She was ostracized by her family for not working, and her past was seen as a barrier to blessing as their economic situation worsened.
Amid this burden, Mrs Laura had no one to talk to. But thanks to the Solusi TV program that she always watched on YouTube; she was encouraged to seek support for her problems from CBN's Prayer Center. She found what she was looking for; emotional and spiritual support. The truth of God's word that was shared encouraged her to reconcile with her past and to forgive those who had ruined her life.
CBN Prayer Center also directed Mrs. Laura to be spiritually mentored at one of partner church in Jakarta, where she was eventually baptized and continued to grow. And as she grew closer to God, the door to the job she had been longing for opened. Through her new job, she was able to help her husband meet the financial needs of their household. She even sets aside some of her income to help needy relatives.
'They (CBN Prayer Center) said a lot of things. But what really hit me was that I had to stay strong and move on. I was still trapped in the shadow of my past, and that was always preventing me from winning 100 percent. Now I feel better and have a decent job,' said Mrs. Laura.
