Becoming a Messenger of God's Love

On December 10, 2023, children from several churches joined in the celebration of 'Super Christmas with Superbook' at the Main Hall of Saga Mall Abepura, Jayapura, Papua. The musical drama 'The Messenger' was performed very well by children who bravely accepted the challenge of sharing the good news with their friends.
The children were also entertained with performances like dances, praise songs and musical games from representatives of each church. Heni was one of participants from Tabernacle of David, Christian Church (GKKD) Buper Waena. She was involved in the Christmas dance with her friends. But this event was special for Heni because it was the first festive Christmas she had ever attended.
Through the sermon, Heni realized that the Jesus is the way of salvation for her and everyone. During the prayer, Heni asked forgiveness from God for her disobedience and laziness in reading the Bible.
'When I was prayed for, I remembered that I still commit sins; disobedient and lazy to read the Bible. So, I asked for forgiveness and prayed that I would change because Jesus has come into the world and died for me,' Heni said.
At that time, she decided to change and eagerly become a messenger of God's love to her friends. 'I want to be God's messenger to my friends at school,' Heni said with excitement.
