The role of being a parent often becomes a burden and is filled with trials. Many of us feel the need for guidance to become better moms and dads. Fortunately, the trial of The Parenting Project in 42 churches provides answers for every parent facing this challenge. Participants are not only inspired through relevant video content addressing contemporary family issues but also find a comfortable space to share failures as partners and parents without fear of judgment.
Join The Parenting Project to embark on a transformative journey like the experience of Mrs. Anief, a mother of three from Palopo, South Sulawesi. Anief's enthusiasm for participating in The Parenting Project trial in the GBI Jemaat Palopo church network was unstoppable. She was facing relationship problems with her husband, who enjoyed drinking and rarely went to church. As a result, she felt she was parenting alone. She often demanded her husband to change, unwittingly making her children the target of her frustrations when angry.
Through the module 'Being a Good Role Model,' Mrs. Anief could only regret her actions. She realized the importance of setting a good example to transform her partner and provide a safe place for her children.
Currently, Mrs. Anief has made a good start. She wants to be a good role model by praying for her husband and children every day. She no longer demands her husband to go to church but chooses to set an example by always inviting her children to worship together.
We believe The Parenting Project will be a harvesting tool for the rise of strong Christian families in this nation. And in 2024, this discipleship journey will be ready to begin in hundreds of churches!
