Super5 Restores the Spirit of Wini that Was Once Lost

CBN, through the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Super5, is equipping partner churches across various regions in the country. We are grateful to have established a good partnership with 208 ECCE Super5 for batches 1 and 2. This year, we celebrate our collaboration with 115 ECCEs for batch 3. 

Through this partnership, ECCE partners have experienced the benefits of implementing the Learning Management System (LMS), media-based curriculum, and teaching materials. These tools are valuable for preparing each school to embrace the digital education era as per government directives. Ongoing training has been instrumental in assisting school staff and educators in effectively implementing the Super5 curriculum, leading to academic, spiritual, and character transformations in many children. 

In this month, we joyfully share a testimony of a child whose life was changed through the Super5 curriculum: 

A child, as young as Wini (6 years old), had to cope with the reality of her parents' divorce. Realizing that her parents were no longer living together saddened her. This cheerful, confident, and independent child suddenly became withdrawn. Wini even started skipping school in ECCE Super5 Tanah Merah. The teachers began to wonder what was happening with Wini and found the answer after visiting her mother at home. At that moment, they understood the difficult time Wini was going through due to her parents' divorce. 

Support and attention continued to be given to Wini. Besides boosting her spirits, Wini was comforted by playing and singing with her friends. Even the Super5 lesson on the environment, with the theme 'I Love My Family,' helped Wini open about her feelings, expressing love for both her father and mother, even though they no longer lived together. 

Now, the cheerfulness that was once lost has returned to her face. This change is also felt by her mother, who is grateful for the presence of the ECCE Super5 Tanah Merah, which has helped her child through the challenging time in their family. 'I am so grateful that my child has accepted our situation. Thank you to the ECCE Super5 teachers for teaching my child so well,' said Wini's mother.
