God's Help Is Real in the Most Pressing Times

My name is Samajaya (26 years old), I come from Nias Islands. Thanks to CBN Prayer Center, I experienced God's real help during the most desperate times of my life. 

I was forced to migrate to Jakarta because of the heavy responsibility of being the breadwinner for my wife, five children, and my elderly, ailing mother. I left for Jakarta with minimal resources, but after a month in the capital city, I still couldn't find work. My savings were depleted, and the burden became heavier as my family in the village kept asking for updates. 

I began deceiving my family, pretending that I was already employed to keep them happy. The pressure led me to despair, and I contemplated suicide. I finally carried out this intention. I had prepared a knot of hanger rope in the bathroom. All I had to do was step onto the chair, and I would be dead. But at that moment, I heard a voice within my heart. 'Remember your children. Remember your wife and mother!' 

The voice also reminded me that suicide was an unforgivable sin. This made me cry and regret my actions. Thank God, a few days after this incident, I accidentally found the contact of CBN Prayer Center through a testimony video on Facebook Solusi. When I first contacted this ministry, I was a very desperate person. But the guidance and prayers given revived my spirit. 

CBN Prayer Center faithfully accompanied and directed me to a local church for discipleship. Thanks to the support of the church pastor, I finally got a job. I am grateful because knowing God made me more surrendered and patient in waiting for a job until God finally answered my prayers.
