CBN Indonesia, through its Super5 children's discipleship program, has provided support to PAUD Bethesda Tarus in Kupang Tengah, NTT. The longing of Evangelical Christian Church in Timor (GMIT) Bethesda Tarus to provide Early Childhood Education and Care (ECCE) for children has finally been answered! In the year 2022, the church heard about the presence of Super5 from the GMIT Synod for the first time.
With very limited funds, GMIT Bethesda Tarus finally established an ECCE. With the support of the Super5 curriculum provided by CBN Indonesia, this ECCE made improvements before starting its new academic year. Teachers had the opportunity to be equipped in operating the Learning Management System (LMS) and media-based teaching approaches from Super5.
Praise God! In July 2022, this ECCE has started its first academic year. With limited facilities, they taught a total of 42 students, and 21 of them graduated this year. Thanks to the quality of education, many children from other schools transferred to ECCE Super5 GMIT Bethesda Tarus, and currently, 36 children have joined and are being educated every day.
Through the Super5 curriculum, the children undergoing education experience character, academic, and spiritual changes. Some children who initially had difficulty interacting are now able to build close relationships with others. Furthermore, there are children who have started leading family prayers before bedtime and engaging in worship at home. Parents have witnessed the changes in their children through ECCE Super5 GMIT Bethesda Tarus.
The existence of ECCE Bethesda Tarus has made the church and its children's ministry increasingly recognized in the community. As a result, parents are increasingly interested in enrolling their children in this ECCE due to the impact they have seen on the children they have nurtured. This is concrete evidence that the willingness and commitment of this small church to educate children through the Super5 program has had a positive impact on the children and people around them.
