Through your every support and prayer, The Parenting Project (TPP) trial is up and running in August 2023. A total of 42 CBN partner church networks in various regions have successfully completed several modules that will be tested over the next three months.
Each parent (Dad and Mom) from the CBN Partner church network is given assistance from CBN facilitators in their respective areas. They hold regular meetings to learn from the TPP module that has been provided through the application and website. Then the participants took time to discuss parenting experiences that were relevant to the module discussion.
Thankfully, many participants were blessed and given a new understanding of practical things that can be applied in the family. Here is one of the most blessed testimonies of the TPP trial results:
'My name is Lisa, one of the parents of The Parenting Project trial participants from the Lasara Bahili Environment, Nias. I am a teacher, and my husband is a trader. We have two children. I am very blessed with The Parenting Project, starting from Module 1 on 'Parents Must Be Good Role Models'. Then Module 2 entitled 'Building Closeness' to Module 4 with the theme 'How to Love Children'.
This module changed my life tremendously! I was aware that I had behaved violently towards my chi, especially Nancy. I feel guilty and sorry for my actions. I've hit, pinched, and even thrown Nancy away. Children are always my vent when I am angry. Tears welled up when I realized how bad my treatment was. I am sorry that my actions caused Nancy's hearing loss. I asked God for forgiveness and at that time I apologized to my children with regret and promised to be better parents. I am committed to giving them quality time, filling their emotional tubes with love, and being a true role model.
I believe it's never too late, and I am grateful to CBN for 'The Parenting Project' which helps our family, especially on Nias Island.'
CBN partner, this is one of many parents was blessed through the TPP module. Let's continue to pray for this ongoing TPP trial to produce more testimony and restoration of the lives of parents who are involved. So, there will be many families who will be restored.
