This Nias Teacher Found Her Calling After Attending Super5 Training

CBN's Super5 Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) program is a curriculum that aims to equip local churches in Indonesia in child discipleship. Created by people who have a 'passion' and expertise in Christian child education, the curriculum is very user-friendly for churches to start an ECCE program.
After three years of development, the Super5 ECCE program was finally launched in 2021 for around 100 churches in Nias, mainly churches from the BNKP synod. Hundreds of teachers also received training from CBN to become qualified teachers.
Mrs. Piawai, one of the Super5 ECCE at BNKP Jemaat Hilinakhe in Nias, was initially hesitant to accept the offer to become a teacher because she had no teaching experience. However, after attending training from the Super5 team, her doubts disappeared. Although she sometimes had to spend her own money to attend the training, Mrs. Pia was willing to do so because she saw a big change in the children she thaught.
Watching the children who used to be unable to read and write can finally being able to, makes Mrs. Pia feel happy and grateful that being a Super5 teacher is a calling from God. This program not only trains Mrs. Pia to be a reliable teacher, but also makes her aware to always rely on God and teach children in God's love.
