'Everyone just here! Very stingy. I will change later.' While snatching all the money in Almer's hand.
Almer was so surprised when his friend suddenly asked him for money. That is not the first time. Almer has been beaten many times by this kid! Almer wanted to refuse, but somehow he was speechless. His heart was so upset that his friend never returned the money he asked for.
Almer Tristan Putra Amri is a Sunday school student of GPdI Bukit Hermon, East Nusa Tenggara. He is a quiet child and classified as an introvert. If there is a child in his Sunday school who does something he doesn't like, he is immediately angry and doesn't go to church the next day.
Since the pandemic, Almer has never attended Sunday school. Finally, the Sunday School held Superbook Children's Day. He came, and since then Almer has returned to Sunday School diligently.
December 2022. Almer was immediately excited to follow him. His teacher had doubts about whether Almer would be able to follow him, but his teacher still believed and accompanied him. One challenge at a time, Almer completed. It started from cleaning up trash to praying for friends.
His Sunday School teacher asked, 'Almer, who do you want to pray for this time?'
Steadily he said, “My friend who likes to scold me. I was annoyed because he always asked for my money and promised to return it. But until now, the proof has never been returned. I want him to repent and not scold me anymore. I want him to change for the better.”
Hearing this, his Sunday school teacher asked him to pray together. A few days later, Almer noticed that his friend had started to be nice to him and didn't ask for money anymore. Almer had also forgiven his friend, and his heart no longer filled with anger.
