For Sobi, his family is the perfect family that he had ever had. Although his family was poor, the affection that he got from his parents was alike priceless treasure. Every day, they lives were fulfilled by love and happiness. Until one day, his father died on a traffic accident.

After his father’s death, his mother left him and his two brothers without any certain reason. Sobi and his brothers were eventually taken over by his grandfather from his father. Unfortunately, he did not get any affection as what they had ever gotten before. Hence, he became a rebel.

Although he was still in kindergarten, he had already smoked and consumed marijuana. He did it just for getting the recognition from his other friends. Unfortunately, he was in vain. He was always mocked by his friends for his status as a orphan. Being inconvenient of their mocks, Sobi hit and beat his friends. Those were his routine activities; smoking, consuming marijuana, and fighting.

Not having enough money for his school fee, Sobi chose to quit from his study. As sequence, he had to sell anything to get some money. After living for 2 years without his parents, one day, he met with his mother. “The anger that I had for 2 years to my mother had been faded away when I saw her. I was very excited,” said Sobi.

That encounter seemed giving a bright hope for his future. However, it did not last long. His mother left him just in coincidence. His heart was broken. His desire to have a family with his mother and his step father has already gone. He felt despair and frustrated.

Since his desire has gone, a friend of him came by. After sharing each other, his friend promised him to ask a help from any relatives whom lived in Jakarta to get Sobi back to school.

Sobi and his two brothers left Lampung and moved to Jakarta. At the beginning, he thought that he would have lived with a family, however, after he investigated for some times, he was taken to the orphanage. His heart was broken. For Sobi, orphanage was a place for those who were ignored.

Sobi had ever thought to run away from that place, however he did not do it. He was afraid of being a homeless. Then, Sobi changed his mind. He was willing to prove for those people whom ignored him that he could survive and could be a successful man.

Unexpectedly, that orphanage gave everything that he needed. He got love and affection. A place that could give him warmth and family. That was alike a home. “When I was there, I was really excited. I could enjoy the moments of having childhood and school,” said Soby.

One day, his orphanage held an event. Then, he was introduced to Jesus, a figure that he had never known. He even asked to himself how does He look like and why He let him being a miserable man?

Since those questions appeared on his mind, an enlightenment was emerged. “It looked like a movie, I saw when I was hit, being isolated and mocked, Jesus was there. He cried for me, but I might not feel His presence,” said Sobi.

A verse in Psalm strengthened him. “When my parents left me, God welcomed me,” he said while quoted his favorite verse. Now I understood why the orphanage was the best place for him to live in. Because that place was fulfilled by those who knew Jesus.

Then, he began to have a desire and he decided to accept Jesus as His God and Savior. He was extremely happy when he declared his faith to God. However, there was still something stuck on his heart. It was about his anger to his mother.

Soby was constantly struggling to fight his pain for his mother. Until one day, in the session of restoration, he was challenged to forgive anyone who hurt and disappointed him. Then, he decided to forgive his biological mother and was willing to looking for his mother.

It needed 8 years to find his mother. His mother confessed her faults and felt sorry for what she did. Sobi was relieved because he did not need to keep any bitterness more.

A great changes happened to Sobi. He became a loveable man including forgiving his mother and his step family. The emptiness that he felt, was eventually fulfilled with Jesus's love. The figure of father that he missed so much has already appeared when he met Jesus.

What he experienced in the past had changed his life into a good one. He could share love from Jesus to those who were ignored, so that they could get recognition from Jesus Christ, as what he feels now.
