“There was this kid who was playing and running around in a garden. He was so excited that he did not realize he was approaching a pack of dogs. The presence of the kid was a threat to the dogs so they started barking and warned each other. The kid was surprised and scared. The father of this kid was paying attention from a distance. Seeing his kid in trouble, he started calling to his kid. The kid immediately turned to his father and started running towards him. He felt at ease and safe after coming to his father.”

This is only a simple illustration that can serve as a reflection with profound meaning to us. Whether we realize it or not, there are many moments when God calls upon us “come to me!” It is true that it is a calling addressed to us, but not many of us answer to this calling as quick as the little kid in the previous illustration. Why? Because we are too afraid to face it alone when in fact God is always with us. God always keeps a close eye on every work that we perform, every emotion we feel, and every struggle we’re going through.

Ibu Tari is a loyal viewer of Solusi TV. Through CBN Counseling Ministry Center, Sahabat 24, she shared her story of when she was struggling and did not know what to do.
